Ride Norfolk Transit
Ride Norfolk response to COVID-19
Ride Norfolk is operating our regular schedule – this will continue until further notice. Only travel when necessary.
Our vehicles are now equipped with face masks, disposable gloves and both disinfectant spray and wipes.
Based on the current information, we will be spraying the buses at each library stop and wiping main touch surfaces like railings, handles, etc. This will require all passengers to disembark the bus at the library each run for a few minutes. Passengers with a cough will be asked to wear a mask. Drivers will have discretion to wear masks and gloves.
In order to support social distancing, max capacity is every other seat. If the vehicle is at ‘capacity’ you will need to wait for the next bus.
If you have travelled outside the country or are sick, DO NOT use Ride Norfolk.
In respecting social distancing, users must leave an empty seat between themselves and other riders. In the event a bus is at ‘capacity’, riders will need to wait for the next bus.
Ride Norfolk is taking the necessary precautions for the health of our riders and our drivers.
Please be considerate of your fellow passengers and drivers- practice regular hand washing, coughing and sneezing into your folded elbow. Practice social distancing and only travel when necessary.
Effective Monday March 23rd until at least April 6th, Ride Norfolk will not be charging fares as our retail offices are closed. This is also to protect the health and well-being of our drivers. For more information visit: https://www.norfolkcounty.ca/news/ride-norfolk-giving-users-a-break-on-fees/
