The purpose of this delegation is to:
- Address the operational impacts of BAO regulations on municipal cemetery services
Norfolk County seeks to outline the administrative, staffing, and financial pressures associated with BAO compliance, especially as older cemeteries transition into municipal responsibility. - Discuss opportunities for modernization and flexibility within the regulatory framework
We wish to explore practical adjustments that recognize unique rural circumstances, including the management of small historic cemeteries, abandoned burial sites, and cemeteries with limited revenue potential.
