With a possible interruption to Canada Post services pending, Norfolk County is reminding residents to explore alternative options for accessing and submitting essential services like property tax, utility, and court-related payments. The County is committed to maintaining continuity for residents despite potential mail delays. 

South Walsingham Transfer Station Hours for November 6 and 8

Please Note: South Walsingham Transfer Station will be closed early on:

  • Wednesday, November 6, 2024  at 3:15 p.m.
  • Friday, November 8, 2024 at 3:15 p.m.

 

The Simcoe Transfer Station (164 Fourteenth Street West) will be open as an alternative option.

Technical difficulties with phone lines – RESTORED

October 10, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. – Please be advised that the phone lines for Norfolk County, Norview Lodge, the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit, and the Norfolk County Public Library are currently experiencing technical difficulties.

Staff are actively working on resolving the issue. More information will be provided when available. 

Tennis Court Resurfacing — Port Dover

 

Port Dover Sports Park – Tennis Courts

The tennis courts will be closed from August 26, 2024, to September 6, 2024, for resurfacing.

Percy Carter Park – Simcoe – 255 Talbot Street North

Ride Norfolk stop at the Simcoe Library Moved

Disruption: Ride Norfolk stop at the Simcoe Library (92 Court Street) has moved temporarily.

Reason:  Construction on Talbot St

This service will be unavailable from:  April 17, 2024

To: To be announced.

Alternate routes, facilities or services:  If a ride is booked at this stop, the new temporary stop will be at  Rosewood Senior Living on Colborne Street
