Norfolk County Council has approved an interim change to ServiceNorfolk’s pop-up locations that will see an increased presence in Delhi.

Currently, ServiceNorfolk is open at the Delhi Administration Building, located at 183 Main Street, one day a week on Wednesday. Starting on June 6, in-person service in Delhi will be available three days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In-person service in Delhi will also be available on tax deadline dates, should they fall on a Monday or Friday.

This change will also see the closure of ServiceNorfolk pop-ups in Port Rowan and Langton that currently run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, respectively. Port Rowan will be open until Tuesday, May 30, and Langton until Thursday, June 1.

The ServiceNorfolk location in Simcoe at the Robinson Administration building, located at 185 Robinson Street, Suite 100, will continue to be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The new schedule will allow the ServiceNorfolk team to better assist residents via phone and email, both of which continue to see steady increases in use.

“Looking at the numbers, we could see that residents were not utilizing in-person customer service in Langton and Port Rowan as much as they were in Delhi. Based on this analysis, the team is excited to offer in-person service three days a week at our Delhi location starting on June 6, and continuing to offer in-person service five days a week in Simcoe,” said Mayor Amy Martin. “As we implement Norfolk County’s new Strategic Plan, we will identify ways to provide improved customer service for all residents and customers of Norfolk.”

Formed in 2021, ServiceNorfolk  provides a wide range of services to residents and customers, including:

  • Payments (taxes, licenses, permits, dog tags, etc.)
  • Administrative services (commissioning, issuing marriage licenses, and burial permits)
  • Receipt of work order requests, including road, forestry, and drainage
  • Scheduling for bulky item pick-ups
  • Depot for pick up/drop off for all County services
  • Sale of Norfolk County flags, maps, and dog tags

Norfolk County’s 2022-2026 Strategic Plan prioritizes service by committing to improve how Norfolk delivers services to the community, both digitally and in person. In alignment with the plan, a new County-wide customer experience strategy is being developed to enable the delivery of high-quality service experiences to residents and customers in person, by phone, and digitally using email and online tools.
