Beginning May 19, the Port Dover Harbour Marina and Port Rowan Harbour Marina will begin taking appointments for seasonal clients who wish to launch their boats and tie them to their seasonal slips.

While the provincial stay-at-home order prohibits marinas from allowing recreational boating, marina clients with seasonal contracts are permitted to check on, repair, service their boats, and/or secure their boat to a dock/slip.

Norfolk County has implemented a number of safety protocols to ensure patrons can safely access their boats for this purpose.

Clients must attend only with members of their own household, as per provincial guidelines. Those with appointments will be permitted to launch their boat for servicing or maintenance purposes only (e.g. to ensure everything is in working order) and to tie up to their seasonal slip.

Clients of either Norfolk County marina who wish to book an appointment are encouraged to contact 519-583-1581 to make arrangements. Appointments must be made 24 hours in advance to launch at the ramp.

As per provincial guidelines and current regulations, all other recreational boat launches are to remain closed for the duration of the stay-at-home order. The County has and will continue to seek guidance from the province with respect to re-opening boat launches for recreational purposes.
