February 6, 2020, Simcoe, ON – 2019 was an exciting year for Ride Norfolk.

In May, the service began providing daily routes to Brantford thanks to the Community Transportation Grant from the Government of Ontario. In addition, route changes, additional stops, and a new local schedule were added to the service.

Now we want to hear from you.

A 21 question online survey (surveymonkey.com/r/ridenorfolk) has been created to help staff make informed choices on future destinations and direction of the service.

Residents are asked if they utilize Ride Norfolk, if so, how often and what can be improved upon.

“We’re always looking at ways to provide value, and who better to ask than our residents?” said Blaire Sylvester, Norfolk’s Public Transportation and Business Development Coordinator. “The more people that share ideas and suggestions, the better we can tailor the service to their needs.”

The survey also invites feedback on the possibility of adding an on-demand type service, as well as door-to-door service and an electronic fair system.

Each person that completes the survey – which is available until Apr. 1 – will be entered into a draw for a $50 Norfolk County gift card. The card can be used towards the purchase of any Norfolk County facilitated program or service, including Ride Norfolk tickets.

Ride Norfolk has been Norfolk County’s public transit system since 2011. Regular service is offered year-round Monday – Friday from 7:45 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
