Norfolk County officials continue to review the implications of today’s provincial announcement, in which Premier Doug Ford indicated additional retailers, seasonal businesses and health and community service providers will be permitted to open or expand services starting May 19 at 12:01 a.m.
The provincial government also announced additional seasonal services and activities will be permitted to open May 16 at 12:01 a.m., as key public health indicators continue to show progress.

Premier Ford stressed the fact that businesses now permitted to open should only do so if they are ready and can offer services in a safe manner.
County staff are working through the specifics of the announcement and will update the community on plans which ensure the safety of the public and staff, including for the limited opening of municipal marinas, on Friday, May 15.
