Amplify Norfolk, Norfolk County’s new tourism initiative featuring live entertainment, is inviting partners, artists, volunteers, and vendors to get involved. Originally known as Project Microphone, events will feature headline performers and local talent and are expected to attract as many as 5,000 attendees, establishing Norfolk County as an entertainment destination. Visitors will be encouraged to stay and play to support local tourism, restaurants, and accommodation operators.

Amplify Norfolk will launch this June during the week-long Norfolk Community Days event with a grand-finale live concert at the Norfolk County Fairgrounds. Amplify Norfolk will also turn up the volume at Waterford’s Pumpkinfest in October.

“We are excited about this partnership with the Norfolk County Fair, and eagerly awaiting the announcement of their lineup for June’s event,” said Mayor Amy Martin.

Local businesses and tourism operators can participate in interactive “Find Your Folk” tourism zones – and join in County-wide marketing and bundling campaign to benefit from the influx of visitors and coverage created by the events.
