Norfolk County is piloting a new approach to customer service that will allow the public to access nearly all County services from one customer service location.

The trial, which will run until late September, will replace a system which forced the public to visit different locations depending on the service required.

Customer service staff will be located at the ground level of the Robinson Administration Building, Suite 100 (Provincial Offences Office) located at 185 Robinson Street in Simcoe for the duration of the pilot.

Phone lines will be answered from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the customer service desk is now open to the public for in-person visits from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Customers are encouraged to conduct their business with the County via telephone or email or by downloading forms online. Those who must visit in person should be patient, follow posted instructions and wear a face covering.

Property taxes and invoices may be paid through online banking, ATM, telephone banking, mail or drop box. Contact Revenue and Tax Services general tax line at extension 1666.

Provincial Offences Part 1 and Part 3 tickets may also be paid online (in full) at www.paytickets.ca, by mail or through the drop box at 185 Robinson St., Suite 100. Contact the POA office at 519-426-5870 or 226-NORFOLK ext. 2506.

In order to ensure social distancing, a queuing system is set up and only one customer at a time will be served. The customer service area will be cleaned after each customer has been served.

Some of the in-person services offered at 185 Robinson Street, Suite 100 are:
• Payment of POA fines, Bylaw tickets, property taxes, general fees
• Marriage licenses
• Certification/Commission services
• Burial permits
• Burn permits
• Dog Tags
• Recycling bins
• Sale of Norfolk County flags, composters, rain barrels
