March 17, 2020, Simcoe, ON – In an effort to maintain the health and wellbeing of the community and staff, Norfolk County will close all of its buildings to the public effective 4:30 p.m. March 17. 

The closure will last at least until 8:30 a.m. April 6.

Staff will continue to report to work as normal.

As a result of these closures, some services will temporarily be unavailable. Others will continue to be available online or by phone.

Those visiting Health and Social Services at the Gilbertson Administration Building should call ahead:519.426.6170.

A full list to help residents understand how to access County services during this closure will be posted to norfolkcounty.ca/covid19.

Deliveries can still be made to County buildings and contact information will be posted on the door.

The closures are part of Norfolk’s effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, a respiratory virus which can be quite serious for the elderly or those with a compromised immune system.
