Today, Norfolk County Clerk Teresa Olsen declared Ward 2 by-election results official. Linda Vandendriessche was declared elected to Ward 2.
A ceremonial swearing-in will occur at the start of the Council in Committee meeting on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.
The official declaration of results is available on the Norfolk County Ward 2 by-election web page. Results are broken down by candidate and indicate the total number of votes each received.
Of the 1,812 ballots cast, Vandendriessche received 1,025 votes.
The 2021 municipal Ward 2 by-election is the first time Norfolk County conducted an election exclusively through vote-by-mail, as a safe and secure alternative to in-person voting.
