Norfolk County is asking residents in Port Dover to reduce their water usage while staff deal with an unscheduled repair of a water filtration unit at the Port Dover Water Treatment Plant.
The damaged unit – which underwent repairs earlier this year – has been taken offline and there is no impact on water safety or quality.
In order to ensure adequate water supply for fire protection purposes, as well as to maintain appropriate water pressure across the system, Norfolk County is asking that all residents and business owners in Port Dover reduce their overall water consumption until further notice.
Bulk water sales at the water tower have also been suspended until further notice.
