Oct. 29 – Are you one of the many Norfolk grandparents that spend PA days with youngsters?

Be part of Norfolk County’s new Grand Buddies PA Day Program.

With the goal of building connections between youth and seniors, family members can enjoy this inaugural program together Nov. 15. The morning will include learning about each other, sharing talents while participating in games, baking, crafts, and sewing. It all wraps up with refreshments and sharing stories.

“It’s so important for the youth of today to learn from our senior residents,” said Susie Wray, Supervisor, Community Programs Parks, and Recreation. “Seniors have so much wisdom to pass on to the next generation. This program is a great way to facilitate that learning process.”

Grand Buddies is located at the Simcoe Seniors’ Centre, it will run from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The cost to participate is $25. Anyone interested can contact customer service at 519-426-8866 ext. 2233 or email Jayne.aldridge@norfolkcounty.ca.
