On September 23, Norfolk County had the honour of welcoming Municipal Affairs and Housing Minister Paul Calandra.
During his visit, Minister Calandra met with senior leadership team members and Mayor Amy Martin at the County Administration Building in Simcoe and toured Norfolk County Public Library, Simcoe Branch. Minister Calandra expressed much admiration for the historic building.
Minister Calandra, accompanied by Mayor Martin, then walked from the County Administration Building to Dogwood Suites, allowing the Minister to experience Simcoe’s downtown. Deputy Mayor VanPaassen joined them at Dogwood Suites for a scheduled tour of Indwell, where they were provided with insights into the organization’s innovative housing solutions and community support services.
Discussions throughout the visit focused on housing and the County’s official plan, highlighting ongoing efforts to address these critical issues.
