November 17 – Norfolk County Heritage and Culture is hosting their first-ever fundraising auction from November 20 to 30. Items include one-of-a-kind local gifts and Norfolk experiences.

“We wanted to give people a unique shopping experience heading into the holiday season,” said Melissa Collver, Norfolk County’s Director of Heritage and Culture. “The auction is a great way to do that, and feature several local businesses.”

Placing a bid is also a way to show support for local museums and archives to help keep the county’s vast and expansive history alive. The type of items and experiences available, said Collver, is almost as wide-ranging as Norfolk’s past.

“We really do have something for everyone,” Collver added. “There are so many great things to bid on – we can’t wait for everyone to see them.”

All items will be posted on the Heritage and Culture Facebook page. Bidders can comment on the photo of their chosen item to place a bid.

The auction closes November 30 at 6 p.m. Items can be picked up and paid for at the Norfolk County Archives at 109 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe. All rules will be posted on Facebook prior to the auction.
