Norfolk County’s emergency services are joining forces this weekend to ensure local food banks remained stocked with supplies during the holiday season.
Members of Norfolk’s Paramedic Services, Fire Department and local OPP detachment will be at a number of area grocery stores Saturday, Dec. 5, encouraging shoppers to make a financial contribution toward the purchase of food bank supplies.
To ensure the safety of both the public and first responders, only financial contributions made at checkout will be collected this year. Non-perishable food items will not be collected directly.
Participating stores include:
- Real Canadian Superstore in Simcoe
- Foodland in Waterford
- No Frills in Port Dover
- Independent Grocer in Delhi
- Clover Farm Wiggan Foods in Port Rowan
- Zehrs in Tillsonburg
