Early this morning, at approximately 1:53 a.m. Norfolk County Fire Department Station 2 responded to a boat fire at Port Dover Harbour Marina, 50 Passmore Ave.
Patrons of the marina reported the fire – and quickly worked to suppress until the Fire Department could arrive.
The boat was fully involved upon firefighters’ arrival – however, thanks to quick action, damage to surrounding boats was minimal.
The boat involved was a complete loss, with estimated damage of $40,000.
The vessel was insured.
The boat was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and no injuries have been reported. Owners of all boats involved have been notified.
