Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) training session provides skills, nurtures your confidence, and gives you the tools to become an influence in a child’s life. As the caring adult you will learn new ideas that will provide a safe environment for the child to play, learn, master new skills and meet new friends.

SOS 4 Kids! My Safe Life!

This course covers topics on Internet safety, road safety, fire safety and preventing injuries. Children will learn practical strategies to identify and deal with bullying and how to get help. Participants will receive a manual and card of completion. Please bring your lunch.

Ages: 7 to 10


Mondays: October 15th to November 19th – 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm


Friday, January 4th  OR Thursday, March 14th – 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

SOS 4 KIDS! Home Alone Safety Course

This program provides youth with all the information necessary to be successful while home alone. Lunch will be created by the participants. Please bring water, snacks and pens.

Canadian Safety Council Babysitting Course

This course covers topics on child characteristics, behavior, fire safety and basic first aid. Participants will have the opportunity for a hands-on experience and meet  the local Fire Prevention Officer. The course package will be available upon registration which includes a practical component. Participants must obtain a 75% on the exam to be successful and receive their certificate.

Participants must be 12 years old within 6 months of course completion.
