Contact Tracing
Key Accomplishments
- Maintained case and contact management throughout the second and third waves of COVID-19, within internal surge capacity processes.
- All initial calls to positive cases made within 24 hours.
- Responded to and managed outbreaks within workplaces, long term care and retirement homes, schools and daycares and other congregate settings as necessary.

- Continue to identify and manage cases of COVID-19 and outbreaks as they occur and until the pandemic is officially declared over.

Migrant Worker Support
Key Accomplishments
- Reviewed and approved isolation plans for farmers totaling more than 4000 workers.
- Managing positive cases of COVID among Migrant Farm Workers and outbreak management support for farms as necessary.

Next Actions/Milestones
- Continue to review and approve isolation plans for Migrant Farm Workers to allow for safe arrival and quarantine.
- Respond to positive cases and outbreaks as necessary. Will be ongoing until pandemic is declared over.

Vaccination Roll-Out
Key Accomplishments
- Established the Haldimand Norfolk Vaccine Task Force with partners from the local hospitals, health care sector and primary care.
- Established 3 mass vaccination centres at Norfolk General Hospital, Delhi Arena and Cayuga Arena.
- Transition the Cayuga site to the “hockey hub” model to increase vaccination capacity to more than 1000 doses per day.
- Established pop up clinics at workplaces and other sites within Haldimand and Norfolk to meet increasing demand. Continue to roll out vaccination program as per provincial regulations.

Next Milestones
- Vaccination program continues with a focus on 3rd dose boosters and paediatric vaccinations as per provincial direction.
- As of January 31, 2022, 77.5% of Haldimand & Norfolk residents ages 5 years and older have received 2 doses of vaccine, 3.9% have received one dose and 18.6% remain unvaccinated. 49.6% of residents 18 years and older have received 3 doses.
