Contract PW 19-63 Kent Street North Reconstruction

Please be advised that contract PW 19-63 Reconstruction of Kent Street North, has been awarded to Gedco Excavating Limited. Construction limits are from Robinson Street to Colborne Street North. Kent Street project is considered essential and will be moving forward as such.

 

Construction is tentatively scheduled to start May 11, 2020, over the next couple of weeks Gedco’s subcontractor DBa will be completing pre-construction surveys.

Gedco and Dba have COVID -19 policies in place and will be practicing social distancing during their construction and inspections outside of your home. They will not be entering any households at this time.

Construction working hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with the construction scheduled to be completed by the end of October.

 

During the construction period, you may experience some inconvenience. The contractor will endeavor to maintain vehicular and pedestrian access to your property; however, there may be periods where this is not possible.

 

You will receive prior notice for all planned interruptions to your existing municipal services. Unfortunately during emergency situations, your water service may be shut off without notice for a short period of time.

 

Garbage and recycling collection services will remain the same.  Please have your garbage and recycling curb side by 7 a.m. the day of your regular collection schedule. Municipal addresses should be labeled on all recycling boxes so that they may be returned to the correct address.
