Covid-19 Status

Norfolk County has declared that the Bridge Rehabilitation project is an essential project.  Work is proceeding under this declaration.  The contractor will be required to provide a Covid-19 Health and Safety Policy for completing this work under current recommended guidelines.  This includes social distancing both with other crew members and the public who may approach the job site.  We respectfully request that this social distancing be reciprocated by the public towards crew members on site.


Project Description

The Lot 9 Concession 8 Bridge located on Deer Park Road (Concession 8 Townsend), approximately 900m east of Main Street in the town of Waterford, requires rehabilitation of the bridge structure.  During the work, the road will be closed to through traffic and a detour will be set up using Woodley Road to the north.

The Black Creek Culvert located on Cockshutt Road, approximately 100m north of Concession 14 Townsend, requires rehabilitation of the culvert structure.  During the work the road will be closed to through traffic and a detour will be set up using Blueline Road to the west.


Information for the Public

Garbage and recycling collection services will remain the same.  The contractor may need to pick up and relocate garbage and recycling bins to an accessible location for waste management pick.  Please have your garbage and recycling curbside by 7:00 am the day of your regular collection schedule. Municipal addresses should be labeled on all recycling boxes so that they may be returned to the correct address.
