Digital Main Street
When Digital Main Street (DMS) was created in Toronto in June of 2016, its’ goal was simple; to help local businesses form sustainable and attainable digital goals and strategies. In conjunction with the OBIAA, FedDev, and the Ontario Government, Digital Main Street has been able to extend its’ reach across Ontario. As of 2020, DMS has been welcomed into more than 300 cities and municipalities. It has also established a highly-trained and well-connected Digital Service Squad with more than 100 active members!
In the fall of 2020 Norfolk County received a $33,000 grant from Digital Main Street to form its own, two-person, Digital Service Squad. Launched at the start of 2021, Norfolk County’s DSS has been connecting with businesses and communities throughout the county from Waterford to Port Dover and from Long Point to Courtland- all at no cost.
We are thrilled to announce that Norfolk County’s Digital Service Squad has been extended for two more months and will run until the end of May 2021.
Due to the ongoing COVID situation, the Digital Squad will be safely conducting meetings with business via MS Teams, Messenger, FaceTime or via Phone. In person meetings will resume as soon as safety restrictions have been lifted.
