The Digital Service Squad is back … and better than ever!

Norfolk County is delighted to announce that Digital Main Street’s Digital Service Squad (DSS) program has received another round of funding through partnerships with the Ontario Government, FedDev, TABIA, and OBIAA. This popular initiative, which ran from January 2021 to April 2022, saw our two-person Digital Squad connecting with over 500 local businesses across Norfolk. The DSS conducted free digital assessments and provided tangible insight and advice to Norfolk County businesses regarding their digital strategies.

The Digital Squad can help with everything from fine-tuning your social media settings to finding your e-commerce, POS integration, or digital record-keeping solutions.

Along with the return of the Digital Squads, Digital Main Street has also announced the launch of the Digital Transformation Grant 4.0. This $2500 grant will be offered to eligible businesses across Ontario. The funds from this grant are to be used to help businesses achieve their digital goals. The Digital Service Squad was able to help 26 local businesses secure $65000 in grant funding through the Digital Transformation Grant 3.0 program.

The Digital Transformation Grant application window opens on June 21, 2022. All interested Norfolk County business owners are encouraged to apply as soon as possible- the deadline for applications is October 31, 2022.

Digital Main Street has also extended its ShopHERE program. This amazing opportunity creates online stores for independent small businesses and artists at no cost.
