Wednesday, December 6, 2017 – 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Simcoe Talbot Street Arena Multi-Purpose Room (10 Talbot Street North, Simcoe)

Public and stakeholder input has shaped the Official Plan Policy Review and we have heard many comments and ideas on how to strengthen what makes Norfolk a great place to live, work and visit since the Official Plan Review began in 2015. In June 2017, Council approved the draft Amendments to the Official Plan for submission to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs for the mandatory review period. Comments have now been received and the County is finalizing amendments to the Official Plan. This open house is important for learning about changes in response to Ministry comments and for providing input to the final Official Plan Policies. Based on the additional public and stakeholder comments received, the Official Plan Amendments will be finalized and brought forward to a Statutory Public Meeting and Council’s consideration in early 2018.

This open house will be an informal drop-in so that you (and others in the community) can learn about the official plan policies. Feel free to visit information stations to share your ideas on supporting agriculture, strengthening Norfolk’s downtowns, enhancing the design of neighbourhoods and commercial areas, promoting walking, cycling and wheeling, protecting our waterfront and natural heritage and encouraging tourism and job creation.
