May 30 – Norfolk County is currently enjoying Paramedic Services Week, which runs from May 26-June 1.

“Paramedics provide compassionate medical care for those who call 9-1-1,” said Norfolk County Paramedic Services Chief Sarah Page. “They also work proactively with our aging population by visiting patients in non-emergency settings. Education is another significant role that paramedics play in promoting healthy communities. The practice of paramedicine provides many challenges, but it also provides many reasons to celebrate, such as helping a baby into the world.”
