August 22 – James Johnson, General Manager and Treasurer, Financial Services is no longer employed with The Corporation of Norfolk County.

“On behalf of the Mayor, Council, and administration we wish to thank Mr. Johnson for his service at the County and wish him well in his future endeavors,” said Harry Schlange, Interim CAO.

“So begins our path towards streamlining our corporation to create a leaner organization that is highly focused on delivering efficiencies and financial sustainability,” says Mayor Kristal Chopp.

Mayor Chopp is also pleased to announce on behalf of Norfolk Council that Chris McQueen has been appointed as Chief Administrative Officer (Interim) and will join the team August 26, 2019 to advance the execution of plans with a focus on positive corporate culture.

Chris brings 20 years of municipal experience, coupled with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Nursing degree.  His career experience includes a unique blend of elected municipal Council experience and senior municipal leadership experience across a variety of departments. 

Chris plans to execute council’s strategic priorities by mandating effective corporate alignment, leadership development, and performance management.
