June 25 – Norfolk County is looking for public feedback with regards to business licensing by-law updates.

County staff will host a handful of Business Licensing Review Open Houses in the coming weeks. The first takes place June 26 at the Port Dover Community Centre from 5-8p.m.

In an effort to engage stakeholders and foster discussion and collaboration, Stephanie Godby – Norfolk’s Deputy County Clerk – will lead discussions around the Harmonized Business Licensing By-Law 2016-92, which came into effect Jan. 1, 2017.

These public sessions will allow the public to learn about new guidelines that will be put into place and also how the process of altering a by-law works.

Copies of this report have been circulated to the taxi-industry to encourage commentary upon the interim amendments proposed.

These meetings will allow staff to bring forward any proposed amendments to be enacted prior to 2020.

Future Open House dates include the Delhi Community Arena second floor lounge, July 3 and Talbot Gardens in Simcoe July 24. Both will run from 5-8p.m.

If you’re unable to attend an Open House, you can submit written comments to Godby at, or at Norfolk County, Council Services, 50 Colborne St. South, Simcoe Ont. N3Y 4H3.
