Simcoe, ON – June 22, 2017 – Children and youth are invited to explore their creativity as part of the annual Summer Arts Adventure Program running from July 4th to August 18th at the Norfolk Arts Centre. With fourteen unique courses there will be something for the budding artist in every child!

This summer the Norfolk Arts Centre is offering a range of hands-on craft and arts-based courses for children and youth ages 5 to 12. These elementary aged courses including fine art media such as painting, sculpture, textiles, and papermaking. Popular culture offerings in filmmaking and creative writing are available this year.

The Norfolk Arts Centre is also offering programming for JK/SK through ages 13+. Two fun filled JK/SK courses with AM, PM or Full Day registration options will be offered this summer. One 13+ Teen course, “Oil Painting: Portrait and Material Basics,” will be offered and will be instructed by emerging Norfolk painter, Daniel Salguero Kiernan.

The Norfolk Arts Centre is committed to professional instruction by local artists and art educators who specialize in fine arts, art history and various disciplines and have ability to instruct unique programs. The Summer Arts Adventure Program is developed by Artist-Instructors who cultivate specific curriculum in the medium, discipline and theme of each course. The Summer Arts Adventure Program aims to support diverse interests and age groups while providing educational instruction to all participants.
