SIMCOE, ON – January 3, 2017

2017 is here and throughout the year, Canada will be celebrating its 150th birthday better known as Canada 150.

The members of the Norfolk County Canada 150 Committee have spent the last year going out into the community to encourage our residents to get involved in the celebrations. They have created a brand, attended town hall meetings, marched in parades, and introduced a Canada 150 ambassador.

Norfolk County is very excited to announce that the official launch of our Canada 150 celebrations is happening, in partnership with the 2017 Mayor’s Levee, on Wednesday, January 11 (Sir John A. MacDonald’s birthday) from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Vittoria & District Community Centre, 17 Oakes Blvd., Vittoria.

The evening will feature live musical entertainment, Canada 150 swag, face painting, exhibits, and the best photo booth ever.

Please join us for this free family event – help us kick off Norfolk County’s Canada 150 celebrations in a big way!
