Marc VandenBussche named Norfolk County Entrepreneur of the Year

Jordan Stewart named Norfolk County Youth Entrepreneur of the Year

NORFOLK COUNTY Mayor Dennis Travale recently presented the Entrepreneur of the Year Award to Marc VandenBussche of VandenBussche Irrigation. The award was presented at the Norfolk County Tourism & Economic Development Symposium held on January 23rd in Port Dover. Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award was presented to Jordan Stewart of Jordan Stewart Inc.

These awards are presented to honour enterprising people whose businesses have made significant differences in Norfolk County. The award is a symbol of achievement and celebrates the accomplishments of business leaders who have established new ventures or led existing ones into renewed growth.

“Both Marc and Jordan are true innovators. VandenBussche Irrigation has grown to be an international company with leading edge irrigation technologies, while Jordan Stewart took a leap of faith to launch a successful retail business during tough economic times,” said Mayor Travale.

Members of the Tourism & Economic Development Advisory Board reviewed several nominations to select the winners.

Nominees included Greg and Victoria Boyd of Heritage Lane Produce, Tony Bouck and Brian Weber of Greenbug Energy Inc., Darren DeDobbelaer, Wayne Joseph of WJ Moving & Storage, Miles King, Jake Neudorf of PKJ Concrete, Ryan O’Grady of Fotaflo, Heather Pond-Manorome of The Blue Elephant, Erin Snively of Aphrodite Salon & Spa, Mary Taylor of Canadian Tire, Jenn Vandevelde of Wholesome Pickins, Dr Bruce Veltri of Victoria Eldercare, Dale Vranckx of Blueberry Hill Estates, Christie Wardell of The Twisted Fish, Tracy Winkworth of The Belworth House, and Chalyce Woods of Embrace Hair Salon & Spa.

The Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Symposium are coordinated by Norfolk County’s Tourism & Economic Development office.
