Learn about arthritis and one of the best ways to manage it, through exercise. Taught by a registered Physiotherapist with the Arthritis Society. You must register for this course to attend.

Fitness routines will assist to improve your strength and agility to help you with your basic daily activities. Get motivated and energized with music from the “golden oldies”. No equipment required. Please wear comfortable clothes.

The Aberdeen Foundation has generously provided Norfolk County with funding to support seniors programming from April 2018 to May 2019. This funding will cover instructor’s fees for strength training, Tai Chi and Zumba classes. These classes will be FREE for all seniors to attend. The fund will also assist Norfolk County to support the Cardiac Club by providing instructors to assist with this program. Funds from this grant have been set aside to resurface the snooker table at the Simcoe Seniors Centre. We are grateful to the Aberdeen Foundation for their support for seniors programming in Norfolk County.
Due to overwhelming attendance we have added an additional Seniors Yoga class to Friday mornings at the Recreation Centre. Thanks to our friends at the Simcoe Lions Club this class is FREE to those 55 years and older.
Fridays, 9:30 am – 10:30am and 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
A gentle yoga practice for all fitness levels. Come and explore the many benefits that yoga has to offer the mind and body. Yoga has been shown to improve sleep quality, help control blood sugar, alleviate arthritis pain, increase balance and moderate chronic pain. Please dress for comfort and bring your own towel and fitness mat.
